SBZ (SNAP BACK ZONE)
The unique frame design of the NANORAY Z-SPEED means that the frame is thinner at the midway point at either side of the racquet head. At this point, EX-HMG, the most elastic and powerful material ever, is used within the frame, allowing it to flex on impact and repel the shuttle with explosive acceleration and devastating power.
2. Swing Speed increased by 10%
Every element of this racquet has been designed to increase swing speed. A new frame cross section and ULTRA SLIM LONG SHAFT, together with cutting edge materials NANOMETRIC* and X-FULLERENE, make the NANORAY Z-SPEED the most aerodynamic racquet that YONEX has ever produced.
*NANOMETRIC is the new material which applies the NANOALLOYTM Technology of Toray Industries, Inc.
The new generation X-Fullerene has 4 radial ribs which unite carbon atoms to form a football-like structure. The X-Fullerene is used in the resin which bonds the carbon fibres and creates the cross-link construction. The tenfold increase in binding force makes it possible to create 5% higher repulsion power and 15% greater stability.

4. Sonic Metal
SONIC METAL is an exceptionally strong, lightweight and flexible new titanium alloy which YONEX positions at the top of the frame. This has two advantages. Firstly, it gives you a higher repulsion power, especially in attack. Secondly, it creates a clear strong sound when the shuttlecock is hit.
This acoustic, combined with the dramatic increase in repulsion, will put your opponent under immediate pressure.
5. Ultra Slim Long Shaft
The Thinnest Ever with More Power
Inserting NANOPREME into the racquet shaft ensures greater stability compared to conventional racquets. When bending and releasing two racquets under the same force, the Ultra Slim Long Shaft rebounds almost twice as far as a conventional racquet does in the same length of time (0.018 seconds). This equates to 10% greater stability compared with conventional racquets.
6. Compact Frame
Frame construction provides fast swing and head-heavy balance
To balance the heavy racquet head, the frame has been made smaller to maintain the fast swing demanded by advanced players.
By reducing the drag caused by air resistance, the head-heavy feeling is reduced and racquet handling speed is increased.
